Want to know how to increase the chances of getting your credit card application approved?
If you’re new to the business of applying for credit cards then you certainly have good reason to worry because applying for a credit card and getting approved is sometimes more difficult than having your tooth extracted! But don’t be scared - there’s always a way out of a problem and we certainly aim to provide you with a solution if you’re experiencing difficulties or worries about your credit card application.
And because we really understand why it’s important for you to apply for a credit card and get approved, we wrote this article to ensure that your credit card application would have the best success rate possible and that you’d expend the least amount of time and effort!
Matching the Credit Card with Your Wants and Needs
The main reason why many credit card owners find themselves facing disconnected credit cards is simply because they didn’t spend enough time thinking about what type of credit card they should apply for. All they really cared about was to own a credit card and getting approved. That was that. They didn’t think anymore about the consequences of their actions - a bad oversight on their part, believe you me.
If you don’t want the same thing to happen to yourself, do make sure that you match your wants and needs with the credit card you’re applying for. Simply put, if you don’t have money to cover potentially high interest rates then you may not be suited to own a reward credit card.
Knowing the Factors That Could Affect Your Credit Card Application
There are a lot of factors that could affect your credit card application but all of these factors can be found on your credit report. Your credit report, therefore, is the key to getting your credit card application approved. Beat them to the punch then by requesting for your own copy of your credit report and know what factors could be used against you.
It’s imperative that you know your credit rating first before passing your credit card application. That way, you’ll able to rectify matters that need to be rectified and improve your credit rating.
Factors that could affect your credit card application would be your payment history (how good you are at paying on time), the number of credit cards you own and how many times you’ve applied, got rejected or approved, the balance you’ve used in all of your credit cards and the number of mortgages or loans under your name.
All of those factors mentioned above can easily affect your credit card application so if you do possess a low credit rating, don’t hesitate to approach a credit repair company to salvage what’s left of your credit reputation!

Just as there is no best credit card for everyone, there’s no single one that stands out as the worst, or one to avoid. It’s all about finding the one that fits your needs and your circumstances. It may be easy to say ‘avoid any credit card that has an APR above x%’ - but there are people out there who need a card and can only qualify for one with a high APR. If one doesn’t compare credit cards based on APR or annual fee, then how does one determine which are best avoided?
Rather than putting together a list of credit cards to avoid, it’s far more profitable to pay attention to a list of do’s and don’ts that will help you select the best for your circumstances and situation.
- Know yourself.
There are some very good comparison websites where you’ll find guides to selecting the best credit card for your spending and money management style. In general, if you tend to pay your accounts in full each month, apply for a card that offers you rewards for using it on things you’ll purchase anyway. If you tend to carry balances on your account, pay attention to the APR and avoid those with high APR’s and late fees that kick in with a vengeance. - Know the credit cards you’re applying for.
Do your homework before you make applications. Take the time to read cardholder agreements so that you know all the fees, penalties and conditions to which you’re agreeing. In particular, look for the following - all of which have to be outlined in the card member agreement:- Annual fees or participation fees which will be charged to your new card. You’ll be liable for the first year’s fees even if you never use the card.
- The APR (annual percentage rate) is the interest rate that will be charged on your outstanding balance. The agreement must also disclose whether the rate is fixed or variable, and if it’s variable when and how often it can be changed, and how much notice they’re required to give you.
- Transaction fees for particular transactions, like cash advances, may be additional. Those need to be listed in the agreement.
- Any monthly fees for your card. Some credit card companies charge a monthly fee whether or not you use the card.
- The method used to compute the interest on your balance can make a big difference in the fees that you’re charged. Knowing how and when those fees are computed can save you a considerable amount of money.
- Avoid ‘fake’ credit cards.
Be sure to read all the information about the options you’re considering carefully. There are some offers that imply that you’ll get a major credit card with a large spending limit - but the card that you actually get is only valid if you purchase items from their catalog or online merchants. You’ll pay a premium price for a limited number of products at high interest rates - and in most cases, you’ll pay a high annual membership fee and monthly participation fee which you’ll be billed for even if you never use the card. - Prepare your mind
- Present an engaging question
- Problem (challenge) identification
- Proceed to a solution
- What is one thing that our staff needs to do their job better?
- What actions need to be taken in order to increase our sales and/or income?
- What changes need to be made in order to guarantee we accomplish our objectives?
- Preparation of the mind: The vision that lives in the heart of the leader is to reach each one of these at-risk kids with the life changing message of Jesus Christ and to help them change their lifestyle and learn to reach their potential.
- Present an engaging question: Leadership team, community leaders, and business men/women what would your life have been like if you would have had a mentor to help you through life’s challenges during your high school years?
- Problem (challenge) identification: The problem identified is the treadmill to destruction that these at-risk kids live on. This treadmill keeps them in juvenile courts and detention centers. It also encourages them to live their lives in the gang and punk-rock scenes.
- Proceed to a solution: The solution is to rally the Christian community in such a way that men and women will hunger to become trained mentors and get involved long-term to make a difference in the lives of these at-risk kids.
When you’re looking for the best credit card, make sure you take the time compare all the options before making your applications.

So, you have a problem that you need to solve quick. You have agonized over this issue for hours, days, months, or even years and you still can’t resolve it. Well, don’t worry my friend; the answer is already within you. You simply need to call forth your creative energy in order to bring the answer into your focused mind.
How do you do this? It is easy. You simply utilize creative problem solving, that’s how. Creative what? Creative problem solving. You see, creative problem solving is the powerful act of utilizing internal out-of-the box creativity to solve everyday problems.
Creativity that is already inside of you and the good news is that it can be done by anyone with any type of problem. It matters not if you’re a toddler or a sassy sexy citizen, it matters not if you are a housewife or a neurosurgeon, you can solve problems creatively and you can do it without stressing out. All you have to do is follow these basic creative problem solving steps:
1. Visualize ultimate success. Don’t dwell on negative thinking for doing so will block your creative energy. Instead, you should always revel in the fact that the answer is already within you. You simply have to pull it forward from your creative mind. Visualizing failure will block your creative energy and visualizing success will bring it forward.
2. Be still and know that the answer is within you. There is absolutely no need to fear that the problem can’t be solved. The answer will come to you if you stop worrying and take a more relaxed approach. Be quiet and still and allow the creative ideas to come forth. In addition, always be willing to just sit still and let your thoughts wonder freely.
3. Be patient. Don’t rush the creative problem solving process. It sometimes takes a while for your creativity to solve a problem so don’t become frustrated if the problem isn’t resolved right away. Instead, enjoy the creative process for what it really is, an internal process and be open and receptive to allowing those new solutions to come forward.
4. Create a positive environment. The creative mind flourishes in a healthy and positive atmosphere so if you are having a hard time creatively solving a problem then you may need to create a more positive and uplifting environment. This can be done by cleaning up, adding plants, burning aromatherapy candles, or doing whatever you can to create a creative and positive environment. For once you have a creative environment in place; your creativity problem solving skills will burst forward.
5. Take time away. If possible, take some time away to really allow your creative problem solving abilities to materialize. Sometimes you need a change of scenery and other times you just need time away. However, you must be willing to give your spirit what it needs, a mini vacation to sort through your thoughts and come up with the perfect solution.
6. Engage others in the creative process. If you get stuck and can’t seem to get out of a rut, it may be a good idea to discuss your problem with others. Sometimes they can provide creativity problem solving techniques that will help you. They may also be able to solve the problem for you. The important thing however is to only enlist the help of like minded and positive people like you. You don’t want to ask someone to assist that will instill negative energy into your mind.
7. Meditate. Meditation is one of the best ways to engage your creative problem solving skills. By elevating yourself to a different level of consciousness you become more intoned with your thought processes and can truly see the connection better than when you are distracted. For this reason, meditation is a great way to engage creative problem solving.
By following the above basic steps, you can and will creatively solve any problem that may come your way. You’ll solve problems with confidence and less stress than if you simply followed traditional methods. So, enjoy the problem solving process by using creative problem solving techniques now and for the rest of your life!
It is important that you exercise and keep fit especially as you grow older because it will greatly improve your health. Fitness is just as important for the disabled although exercises will have to be adjusted to suit.
Physical activity is just as important a part of a weight loss program as eating the right food. A growing number of women are overweight or obese. Being overweight or obese increases your risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, breathing problems, arthritis, gallbladder disease, sleep apnea (breathing problems while sleeping), osteoarthritis, and some cancers.
It is not just how much “fat” you have but also where it is located. “Pear” shaped women, have a tendency to store fat around the hips and buttocks whilst “apple” shaped women store fat around the waist. There is greater concern for women with an “apple” shape because of carrying extra weight around their waists. A waist larger than 35 inches raises health risks, for example heart disease, diabetes or cancer. You can work out your body shape by measuring your waist and hips in inches and then divide your waist measurement by the hips measurement. A result of 0.8 or more generally indicates an “apple” shape woman.
Exercise helps you to lose fat and build strong bones and prevent osteoporosis. It has been found that bone density is lost when weight loss is achieved through dieting alone. Exercise not only helps to prevent bones from breaking but also makes the body stronger and improves balance, and so helps to prevent falls. Though care has to be given when exercising, it is also important to ensure that the body has enough nutrients to build muscle otherwise minerals could be leeched from the bone and so make the bones weak. Therefore it is best not to exercise on an empty stomach.
Exercising provides a lot of benefits to the body such as:-
help to reduce anxiety, depression, and improve moods
help to control stress
help to control weight
provide more energy help with sleeplessness
help you look better.
To reduce the risk of injury you need to do a slow aerobic warm-up, then stretch before any aerobic or strengthening activities. An aerobic activity is an activity that speeds up your heart and breathing while moving your body at a regular pace. If you have been inactive for a while you will need to start slowly and gradually build up the pace without hurting the body.
Before starting any sort of exercise routine make sure that you talk to your health care provider especially if you have any of the following:-
have or at risk of heart disease or a stroke
have or at risk of diabetes
are obese
have an injury such as a knee injury
older than 50 years
are pregnant
The best way to stay fit is to have a well-rounded workout plan, which combines aerobic activity, muscle-strengthening exercises, and stretching. The ideal plan is to do at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity three of four times a week, adding muscle-strengthening activities to your aerobic workout two to three times a week. Exercise is not just for weight loss but is an important part of keeping and maintaining a healthy body.

A definition of a betting house is an edifice that features gaming. Here, patrons will be encouraged to gamble by operating the one armed bandits or trying out alternate games of luck. Gambling house games ordinarily have logically derived chances incorporated which insure the gambling company retains an interest against the clients. no deposit bonus list casino
Numerous betting room games can result in you becoming addicted very speedily. Case in point being the infamous 1 armed bandit, a coin operated gadget with 3 or more cylinders that orbit if a knob on its flank is wrenched. This gadget as a rule pays up in accord with an array of symbols presented on the lit panel of the instrument. Sadly, betting room pastimes encourage the apparition of being in control, hoodwinking the gaming devotee: the participant is given over decisions, but in reality these do not really remove the patron’s overall odds. That is due to the gambling saloongambling house not refunding the full sum as hoped for. This structured policy is regularly found in well known casino games such as five-card stud, craps, roulette or blackjack.
Five-card stud poker is indisputably a highly fashionable casino pastime. The gaming fans, studiously guarding their either fully or partially screened cards, make wagers into a principal pot which is finally awarded to the prevailing punter holding the winning set of cards. (Obviously, the shameless bluffing hand may well prevail too!) Much the same as Texas hold’em, blackjack is likewise a very trendy casino pastime. A sizeable portion of its acclaim is caused by the mix of luck and smartness and decision making, as well as a method titled “card counting”. It is an approach in which gambling fans will dramatically force the winning odds of the game in their interest both by betting and tactical opetations correlating with the cards shown.
“Craps” is another well-known gambling hall pastime where people can bet on the throw of a couple of dice. Bettors are betting on the end result of one spin, or on a sequence of cycles of 2 dice. Contrary to blackjack, there just isn’t any conceivable winning strategy people could put to use to improve the odds.
Roulette is another extremely popular gambling pastime — a croupier revolves a roulette wheel that incorporates precisely 37 (classical roulette) or, alternatively 38 (American or Vegas roulette) separately numbered divisions in which the tossed ball will finally settle, signifying the final winning number and the other respective combinations. Then, if our player wagers on a specific number which makes it big i.e. they’ve got a lucky hand, the set profit is 35 to one, the original wager proper is tossed back. Hence, it is multiplied by a factor of thirty six.
You should always be wary as well for each of these gaming hall games of chance may well be terribly dependency forming. Myriad lives have been ruined by inordinate gambling + even if it admittedly feels entertaining, work to control oneself.
One of my greatest loves as a kid was fishing. This love developed quickly because my family owned a little bait shop that was located near Toledo Bend Lake in Louisiana. Toledo Bend is well known for its large bass and large quantity of crappies.
I soon found out that there is a lot more to fishing than just catching fish. Learning to cast a fishing lure into a tree-covered fish hole takes great skill. But casting is just the start; you have to learn to make the lure look irresistible to the fish below, so irresistible that an attack is inevitable.
Casting a vision for your organization works much the same way. Over the years I have written many Footprints and Monuments articles on the topic of vision. I have written about the value of a vision, how to evaluate your vision, how to design your vision, and how to write a vision statement. This article however is to help you discover the practical process of casting a vision.
The process of casting a vision for your organization is to:
The first step in the process of casting a vision begins with you, the leader. The vision of your organization begins in the crock-pot of your mind and heart. It is something that you can feel, taste, see, hear and can literally touch with your soul. Your vision must be greater than your past memories, mistakes, and accomplishments. It has been said that dissatisfaction and discouragement are not caused by the absence of things but the absence of vision. Warren Bennis was quoted saying, “Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.”
As much as we would like to skip this step we must resist. The best way for your vision to become clear in your mind and heart is to retreat to a quiet and tranquil place. A place that will allow your mind to think creatively and crystallize the vision.
The next step in the process is to engage your leadership team with a thought provoking question. A question that will help them begin to see the vision and dream that lives in your heart. Questions like…
Step three is a transition step. In this step your leadership team will discuss in detail the challenges keeping those questions from being answered and acted upon. Challenges such as, why sales are not reaching predetermined goals, why customers are not returning, or why families are suffering just as much within the church walls as they are outside the church. Overcoming these challenges will put the organization on the pathway to accomplishing its objectives and your vision.
The last step in this process is to determine the solution to the above challenges. This is the step in the process where you share your heart’s vision and get the buy-in from your leadership team. Everyone must be convinced that the solution will help your organization accomplish its (your) vision. It is very important at this point to remember K.I.S.S. - Keep It Short & Simple.
The following is an example of how these steps work together to reach the vision of an organization.
The organization in this case is one that mentors at-risk kids in a large metro city.

Life or Lifestyle?
What is a lifestyle and how is that different from a life? A lifestyle is about brand names and buying identity or prestige. Lifestyle gives a false sense of peace and acceptability that comes from others recognizing what you’ve bought into (as well as bought). If your car, clothes, and home are expensive, you’re sophisticated and stylish. If you have the right kind of job or go to the right social gatherings, then you receive the superficial approval of others. This means that your self-esteem is always at the mercy of others, with no appreciation of you as an individual.
A life, on the other hand, is very different. A life is what you lead when you know what matters most to you. It is very simple and comes from being connected to what you know is important and being willing to put that first, not matter what others may think. When you create a life vs. a lifestyle, your self-esteem comes from what’s inside you, not what others think about you.
How many times have you seen someone (this used to be me!) work long hours in a job that they do not enjoy just to be able to maintain an expensive lifestyle? There was a recent commercial on TV that showed a man laughing in his yard saying: “I drive an expensive car, have a 5 bedroom home, a country club membership, a swimming pool and I’m in debt up to my eyeballs!” Every time I see this commercial I think about the book - The Millionaire Next Door. The book says that most of the people living in the largest homes are exactly like the man in the commercial and that the real millionaires are the ones you would never guess, because their focus is on creating a life vs. a lifestyle.
Lifestyle is expensive monetarily and personally, because it costs a great deal to keep up appearances and do what you think is socially acceptable. A Life is not expensive. Rather than draining personal or financial resources, a life generates energy and staying power. If we focus on what we wear, or what kind of car we drive, or where we live, then we are saying that how others see us is more important than what we think of ourselves. If we find out what our true beliefs and values are and choose to live by these, then the opinions of others don’t drive our lives. This is not an issue of avoiding luxury for its own sake; it’s about liberating yourself from the mindless consumption that society dictates. It is about making the choices that are in line with your values, instead of draining your bank account or energy for no heart-driven reason.
How can you make the change? Understand the difference between a Life (being directed from within) and a Lifestyle (being directed from outside). Analyze your current lifestyle to see what it is costing you in money, time, stress, and energy to maintain it. Let go and make room for what is really important to you, what sustains you and brings you joy. Remember that who you are comes from within, not what you own!

Did you know that many people retire broke?
It’s true. After a lifetime of hard work and having earned literally hundreds of thousands of dollars, they end up with nothing.
So where did all their hard-earned cash go? The answer is, it passed right through their fingers.
While schools are great at teaching algebra, calculus, and geometry… how many of us learned about the basics of personal finance and creating financial security for ourselves?
The truth is, the earlier you learn to handle money, the more likely you are to manage it properly and live a prosperous life.
So why not provide a little home schooling for your family and teach them the basics? Here are 7 important lessons to instill in your kids about money:
1. Save something of what you earn
Acquiring the savings habit is one of the smartest things you can ever do.
If you’re reading this now as a middle-aged parent, imagine how much you’d have in the bank today if you’d saved 10% of everything you’d ever earned.
(It’s almost scary to think about, isn’t it?)
Teach your kids to save a little of everything they earn.
2. Don’t borrow what you can’t pay back
Debt is one of the greatest social diseases of our time. The price to pay for the “have now, pay later” philosophy is that you certainly will pay later.
Debt imprisons you in a job you don’t like, creates stress and anxiety in your life, and erodes your wealth creation program.
You will never become rich while you’re in debt. Period.
Teach your kids the value of delayed gratification. “If in doubt, go without”.
3. To give is to get
Managing money doesn’t mean hoarding it and locking it away in its own purpose-built high security jail. It simply means being careful, spending wisely, and acquiring a regular savings habit.
Teach your kids that donating money to worthwhile causes is a noble thing to do, and that the money returns to you in more ways than you can imagine.
4. Money isn’t evil
“Money is the root of all evil” and “filthy lucre” are phrases you’ll hear banded around.
Ignore them.
Money actually brings enormous good into the world. For example:
- Creating wealth helps create jobs for others
- Investing in business helps to bring solutions into people’s lives by way of innovative products and services
- Acquiring a great fortune allows you to donate more money to charity - or even start your own trust fund
Teach your kids that money is neither good nor bad - it’s what you do with it that makes the difference.
5. If you don’t spend much, you can’t lose much!
One of the oldest wealth-creation maxims is, “It takes money to make money”.
Unfortunately, it also takes money to lose money.
Teach your kids the value of caution when entering into financial affairs. And let them know that many self-made millionaires started with literally nothing.
6. Get the best price for everything you can
Your financial health is really the difference between how much you earn and how much you spend. It therefore makes sense not to pay any more money for something than you have to.
Teach your kids that bargain-hunting doesn’t make you a “miser” - just a sensible individual.
7. The fast buck is your last buck
Sooner or later everyone gets offered a “surefire” method of making a fortune, whether it’s the three-card trick, a once-in-a-lifetime investment plan, or some time-limited business opportunity only available to a select few…
Don’t fall for too-good-to-be-true scams.
Teach your kids that wealth creation is a simple and timeless process based on common sense.
If you had learned the above principles when you were 10 years old, and had applied them every day of your life, would you be financially healthier today?
You betcha!
Teach your kids the timeless truths of acquiring and keeping wealth.
Knowledge truly is the most precious gift you can give.
