End Sex Addiction with Self-Hypnosis
Thursday 26 November 2009 @ 5:52 pm

Any addiction is bad for us. Getting into a thing more than required always give bad results. Sex is a beautiful unification of two human species. It is a result of love that blossoms in the heart of couple but when one of the two partners or both of them becomes addicted to sex then it brings in destroying results. Sex addiction is no less than addiction of any drug. Sex addiction makes a person lose every connection from the real world and as a result he or she keeps themselves engrossed only in sexual activities. Such activities are done persistently may harm the reproductive organs and also harms the overall personality and mindset of the person who has become addicted to it.
When a person becomes addicted to sexual activities then he or she thinks about it all day and night and tries to involve the partner as well to let his sexual energy flow. If a sex addicted person could not satisfy his needs then he obviously tries out things which might not be good for him. It is very important for a person to never become addicted and used to a particular thing. You must indulge in sexual activities because it makes a person feel complete but overdoing it will only spoil your life. A person who is so engrossed in sexual activity will find himself thinking about it all the time. Such people will slowly move away from normal things and will move in a world of fantasies.
If you are also one of those who are addicted to sex then it is the right time that you start concentrating on other very important things in life. Whenever you feel the urge to have sex or masturbate then you should on the spot direct your mind to things which require your attention. Engross yourself in work and start hypnotism or mediation. Hypnotism will help you in strengthening your subconscious mind which will later benefit you in avoiding any strong urge to have sex.

The Sacred Circle: Aligning with Wholeness
Thursday 1 October 2009 @ 1:51 pm

The circle is a very special symbol. It’s a symbol that has no beginning and no end. It’s a completion symbol. So what’s happening, as you’re doing this practice, as you’re gazing at the circle, is that the fragmented thought patterns that are in you are beginning to find a sense of completion. Everybody would probably agree with us that if I had a whole lot of anger inside of me, if I’m really mad, my world around me kind of mirrors that anger. We’ve talked about this in The Everyday Sanyasin as you’re driving down the road and you get mad at somebody, it seems like from that point on, boy, every driver is making you even more angry.

What we’ve really done is to look at this and say, “Okay, when I’m angry I have an image of myself as angry.” I’m actually if we think in terms of a caricature I’m the Angry Man. So I’m playing the role of being the Angry Man. As I’m doing that, the thoughts that come to mind, the emotions that come to mind, are filled with that anger. As you say, you begin to project it on other people and think they’re angry with you. Especially if it’s a lover, she may turn to you and say, “I’m not angry with you. Why are you upset with me?”

So in a sense, if we think of anger as a drawing, or when you’re taking a lie detector test, most all of us have seen a dramatization of lie detector tests in movies and television shows; of course, when you’re angry, there’s all these spikes.

Basically, that’s what we’re experiencing. In terms of tone within, an inner tone, and in terms of an inner visual image, we’re seeing all these edges We’re not looking at a circle. We’re looking at something with no beginning and no end and a wholeness. We’re looking at causation. This thing made this happen, and this made this happen. We’re seeing there’s a difference, and what I’m pointing out is, even as we get angry, even as we’re walking around and we’re angry, we’re actually fixated on an image within ourselves. We could say, it’s more than an image, it’s also a harmony of a tonality. I would say that after you did it for a while, there would be a calming sense that would come over you as you’re doing it.

My Journey to Regaining Confidence
Sunday 6 September 2009 @ 9:38 pm

The day I started noticing my receding hairline and bald spot growing bigger, I embarked on my hair loss treatment journey. I would spend hours and hours looking for styles to comb my hair a particular way to conceal my hair loss. I started wearing more hats on the weekends as I went out with my wife, friends or family. Walking in to work every morning without my hat was a tough experience. You change the way you think when you are going through hair loss. It is so true that you never know what you have until you lose it. That can be true about your hair loss.

Having suffered from balding, I started to appreciate every strand of hair that I had left. It was as if with each string of hair I lost, so was a small portion of my self-confidence gone as well. A acquaintance of mine had been experiencing the same problem as me. Yet recently he seemed so much more relaxed and I noticed that it was as if his hair was growing back. I didn’t wanted to bring it up but after a while I decided to ask. That is when he told me about Advanced Hair Studio. My friend Josh told me that he had only had a few treatments and has already started to see some results, he not only regrown his hair, but his confidence as well. After speaking to Josh and understanding what Advanced Hair has done for him, I took the courage to make an appointment for a free hair check.

I have to admit that I was a little wary at first. But effects were apparent within a few weeks. Not only on my head, but in my attitude. I began feeling better about myself and started to lose the caps on the weekends. My wife has also observed a change in my day to day behavior as well. It is amazing how just a few trips to the Advanced Hair Studio had begun to change my life as a whole. I have always been cynical about people discovering my bald spot. Now, I am not scared to look people in the eyes again as I have my full set of self esteem back.

Advance Hair Studio has not only given me back my hair, but a big chunk of my life as well. So, if anyone is going through hair loss I highly recommend them. Don’t let your confidence continue to be lost with your hair.

Availability of Hair Loss Solutions
Thursday 27 August 2009 @ 3:48 am

Balding and hair loss can decrease self confidence, causing depression and a lack of confidence. Genetics, aging and hormonal instabilities all contribute to hair loss. Nevertheless, people who suffer from baldness or thinning hair, have various hair loss solutions to opt from.

For the males, Propecia (generic name Finasteride) is the only obtainable doctor-prescribed hair loss solution. The drug brings down the levels of a hormone called Dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a chemical that causes balding. When consumed daily, Propecia reduces DHT levels by up to 60%. Approximately half of all men who consume Propecia regrow hair on their scalps.

The over-the-counter drug Minoxidil (Rogaine) is available for males and females suffering from hair loss. Research indicates Minoxidil works in around one out of every three men who apply the product twice daily. While the five-percent strength is not recommended for women, some physicians will prescribe the higher concentration. Patients applying the higher dose increased their hair growth.

Natural supplements are also favourable hair loss treatments. Flaxseed and primrose oils contain essential fatty acids that make hair look thicker and healthier. Vitamin B3, B5, and B6 also stimulate hair growth. Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Coenzyme Q10 stimulate hair follicles to enhance scalp circulation. Zinc, Kelp and Copper boost immune functions, aiding hair growth.

Laser hair therapy (LHT) is the latest hair loss treatment approved for women and men. This hair loss treatment uses low-light lasers to repair damaged hair cells. Studies suggest that about 90 percent of patients regrow hair. Laser hair therapy also prevents additional hair thinning and loss.

Currently, more hair loss treatments are available to treat male-pattern baldness. However, researchers are conducting studies to further understand which hair loss treatments work best for women. While many options exist, early intervention is the key to improving hair loss and regaining self confidence.

Guiding a Life Affirmation: Medical Wigs to Edify Natural Beauty
Thursday 2 July 2009 @ 4:31 am

Not many never imagined the beautiful and confident Caroline Sharp, my life-long soul mate, could need a collection of lace wigs. Her trademark long black hair added so much to her attitude. Guess what? The one and only will be eternally recognized for her style. Very few even care that she confidently masks her medical hair loss under well-crafted African American wigs. Guess it’s no secret anymore.

When we were mere children in the hill country, we used to swept all the beauty pageants. Then her hair loss took effect and her hair wouldn’t be the same. I recommended some lace wigs. Oh well, she shrugged it off. She aggressively showcased her shaved head.

Obliged to show at her boyfriend Jacob’s rugby game, we flirted with the crowd till her loverboy purposefully flung the sphere (or whatever they play with) at us. With quick reflexes she jumped up for it when her hand-knitted “head sweater” (her idea) fell off, uncovering her thinning hair. No big deal, she hurled the thing with a tremendous heave to the game official. She’s that kind of girl.

But, nobody is perfect. The same summer at our semi-monhtly “Gilmore Girls” binge, where she quietly said that she opts to go bald as a statement. She would never consider beautiful wigs, even if she wanted her hair back. Then just like that our fearless protagonist turned flush red and asked that I shouldn’t concern myself with it. I didn’t know what to say.

There was no way to get her words out of my head. That night, I IM’d with her about getting her a new wig. Finally we both arrived at the perfect solution: lace front wigs for all! Wigs for the both of us, on me!

We had a great time, floored by the possibilities. We couldn’t believe that wigs could be so prevalent for beautiful people and famous actors. These lace wigs for women were exactly what she needed. Personally, I pieced together a completely modern set of outfits to wear with my wig. We do it all together, but you knew that already. Recently she sent me her thanks for her wig, and explained it invites a lost identity for many occasions. It’s my pleasure to have helped her live a happier existence. Can’t wait to see that infamous “toss ‘n turn” again.

7 Things Sapping Your Creativity Right Now
Thursday 21 May 2009 @ 4:39 am

This was a very easy article to write. I was late in getting started this month, and as my publication deadline got closer and I could no longer wait until I “felt” like writing an article, I was forced to sit down and do it. In doing it, I thought about the last month (when I meant to be getting started on this as well as other creative projects), and I identified seven things that have gotten in the way of my creativity. Maybe you’ll see yourself in some of these.

1. Not getting enough sleep - I noticed this one the most when I DID finally get a good, long sleep (the night before writing this, actually). All of a sudden my muse was speaking to me again (see below for more on that), the day looked positive and full of promise and I was open to the ideas that are always flowing around me. And I just plain felt good! Sleep is something I write and speak a lot about, and it’s still a practice I need to consciously keep up so I don’t slip back into bad habits.

2. Trying to do it alone - Bouncing ideas off someone else is invaluable to me. When I stop before I start (see below), and I don’t consult or collaborate with others, I miss out on the collective voices that are available to me. Just hearing my own telling of an idea - reading it aloud or describing it - can be enough. Any feedback or new ideas is a bonus. If the idea is really fresh and precious, I may ask the listener not to give feedback, and let them know I just need a sounding board at this point.

3. Stopping before I start - Not carrying out my creative projects because of self-doubt, real or imagined obstacles, perfectionism or generalized fear. When it came to writing today’s article, I had to “Just Start”.

4. Poverty mentality -It’s very constricting to be worried about money all the time. I’m doing a lot of reading and learning about this topic right now - I’m sure I’ll be able to share more in future issues.

5. A cluttered work/living space - It’s been over two years since I finished my first major de-cluttering and it’s time for another one! Exciting! While my living space has stayed tidy, some clutter (things I don’t need, use or love) has crept back in and is starting to gnaw at me.

6. Disconnection from my inner wisdom - When I’m rested and feeling well, I can much more easily tap into the ideas that are flowing around me. Whether it’s being open to something useful in an article I’m reading, or just listening for the solution of that problem I’ve been struggling with for a few days (and really, it just “came to me”), the answers are there.

7. Disconnection from my body - If I’d been paying closer attention to my body’s needs, I think I would have arranged sooner for some nights of extra sleep. I need to listen to the messages my body is sending me - do I feel nourished by the food I’m eating (or am I getting hungry too often), am I hydrated (or do I feel thirsty or light-headed, or is my skin extra-dry)? Am I showing physical signs of stress - muscle tightness, shallow breathing or headaches? My body will reward me if I listen to it, use common sense and give it what it wants.

If you saw yourself in some of these examples, take heart. Awareness is the most important step for change to take place. To look in more detail at your self-care habits, take the free quiz on the “Resources” page of my website.

Tips To Become Happier & More Empowered
Sunday 26 April 2009 @ 2:49 am

In a search for happiness, many people look for it in other people and not within ourselves. Many people feel that things like money, a better job, better relationships..etc will make them happy. In reality, to find true contentment you must look inside yourself and learn to be your own best friend. That means you have to trust, love, and care for yourself just as you do the people you consider to be close to you.

Following are steps that you can incorporate into your life that will help you to feel more empowered and happy about yourself!

Begin to lift yourself up, not put yourself down. If you don’t like something about yourself, work to change it. If you can’t change it, simply accept it. Don’t beat up on yourself with negative self-talk. You’re not likely to change for the better when you fill yourself with negative thoughts.

Give yourself positive rewards. When you do something that you are proud of give yourself a small reward. Try not to wait for others to praise you because you may grow resentful if the praise doesn’t come. Pat your own back, it is a great feeling that can stay with you for a long time.

Forgive yourself. I doubt that you would keep scolding a child over and over for making a mistake so don’t do that to yourself. Give yourself the gift of forgiveness when you make a mistake. After that, work to figure out what lesson you can learn, and use it to make better choices the next time around.

Enjoy your successes. Most people can remember all of the details of depressing, painful or even embarrassing events that happened many years ago. What if you did the same thing with all of your wins? Try to remember all of the triumphs and accomplishments that you’ve made and keep that memory with you and think about it at least once a week.

Always remember to celebrate your wonderful qualities! You will soon discover that the more you love yourself, the more you will be able to give love to others - and the more others will be able to love you!

Five Secrets to Creating a “Goal” Medal Life - Part II
Saturday 18 April 2009 @ 12:56 am

Recently, Joy and I had the pleasure of speaking at a
conference of Educational Office Professionals in Baltimore,
MD. The other speakers included Ms. Deborah Phelps,
mother of six-time gold medalist in the 2004 Summer
Olympics swimmer Michael Phelps, and Agatha von Trapp,
the 91-year-old daughter of Captain and Maria von Trapp,
the family on which the movie “Sound of Music” was based.
To say the least, there were a variety of subjects discussed
that day.

As I listened to Ms. Phelps describe Michael’s
achievements, I realized that his story had many of the
secrets of success mentioned in my September article, Five
Secrets to Creating a ‘Goal’ Medal Life.

Let’s go over these five secrets again and see how you can
apply them:

1. Create Passion with Goal Setting Ms. Phelps mentioned
that Michael, after competing in the 2000 Summer Olympics,
was excited about the experience. Michael told her he wanted
to compete again in the 2004 Summer Olympics. He had that
burning desire to compete and win. So they sat down,
developed goals, and mapped out a detailed plan for his
success.

What do you have passion about in your career, your life?
Have you put pen to paper and developed goals to achieve
what you want in life?

2. Believe in Greatness Once Michael had competed in the
2000 Summer Olympics and held his own, he now believed he
could win the swimming events in the 2004 Summer
Olympics; not only win, but shatter world records. He
visualized standing on the center stand with the gold medal
around his neck. He visualized what winning the gold
medals would look like, how it would feel, etc.

Have you visualized your “goal” medal life?

3. Create a Mastermind Group Ms. Phelps said that once
Michael set his goal, she (a single parent), his older sisters,
Michael, and his long time swim coach, Bob Bowman, came
together to develop a cohesive team for success. This was
Michael’s mastermind group. This group was devoted to
removing barriers and helping Michael achieve his dream.
Bob Bowman provided the technical expertise; and Ms.
Phelps and his sisters provided the financial, emotional, and
family support to keep Michael focused on his goals. They
kept him focused on his goals while removing any
distractions.

Who is your mastermind group?

4. Embrace Challenges Michael’s challenges began before
his first Olympics. He was a son of divorced parents. Yet, he
never used that as an excuse. After the 2000 Summer
Olympics, his challenge was how do I become a gold medal
athlete? He took a hard look at himself and received
feedback from his mastermind group concerning how to
make his weaknesses his strengths, and how to make his
strengths the best in the world. He attacked those
weaknesses with gusto everyday in practice.

When was the last time you asked the question, “How can I
improve my skills to become the best?”

5. Never Give Up! Ms. Phelps joked with the audience that as
a mother, Michael’s style of swimming made her crazy. You
see, Michael, is a “comeback” swimmer. In most cases, he is
behind in his races. Then at the last moment, with a burst of
energy and an iron-willed belief he will win, he comes from
behind to win the race. He believes that he can win every
race as long as he is in the pool. He never gives up on his
belief that he can win.

Do you believe that you can win every race?

As Ms. Phelps left the ballroom, we embraced; and she
wished me the best. As she walked out the door, I thought
that the Phelps family is truly living a “goal” medal life…and
you can too. Start today.

Unleash Your Subconscious Mind Power
Friday 27 March 2009 @ 2:07 am

If you want to learn the true art of mind power then it is of the greatest importance you understand 2 functions of your mind, and also how they interact with each other…

You only possess one mind, but it has 2 totally different functions - and the names generally used to distinguish these 2 different functions are as follows.

1, The Conscious Mind
2, The Subconscious Mind

There are many other terms used. But the 2 listed above, are the ones used most to represent the 2 main functions of your mind.

To help us better understand the conscious and subconscious mind, they may be compared to a tree and its roots…

• You’re conscious mind being the tree, which helps you with daily situations like, decision-making, rational thinking, or just simply figuring out what to do and how best to do it.

When we think of ‘me’ we think of our conscious mind, the mind of which we are fully aware. This part of the mind makes decisions for us and directs our activities; it also analyzes, criticises and even commands us.

• You’re subconscious mind being the roots; it deals mostly with the repetitions of learned behaviour. This can be very helpful for you, as it enables you to deal with situations much more easily the next time they arise.

Whatever we see, hear, smell, taste, touch or feel passes through the conscious mind and reaches the subconscious mind where it is stored.

Once you have learned how best to deal with the situation you find it much easier the next time around… this is because you are using information which is already stored.

For instance, once you have learned to ride a bike you don’t have to consciously think about it anymore. This is because the stored information will come to you automatically the next time you get on your bike to ride it.

Just as if you were to learn where each letter on your keyboard is - you can now type without looking because you have formed a mental picture in your subconscious mind, of what the keyboard actually looks like.

The above are only two instances (of how the subconscious mind stores up relations of learned behaviour) and we are sure you would be able to find many more examples of this in your everyday life!

Information from the conscious mind gets past into the subconscious mind, and there is a very strong link between the two. It is said that everything you have ever seen, heard and experienced is perceived by your conscious mind, and then stored away into your subconscious mind as a memory.

Not only is this memory stored as the incident itself, but also any feelings which went with it at the time are also stored.

Your subconscious mind does not only store your memories and feelings. It is the maker of all the great ideas you have ever had, and is also the seat of your intuition and creativeness…

Your subconscious also keeps you going without you even being aware of it. It takes care of your bodily functions - your heart beat, and automatically runs such activities as, movement, language, visual perception and a whole host of other processes of your mind and body for you.

It also scans your mind for conflict and distress; assesses your environment for danger and threats, and relays and interprets perceptions, sensations, and feeling… last but not least it is also the storehouse of all your experience and decisions - everything which makes you the person you are.

Are You Stuck in a Rut? Tips on Motivation and Breaking Free!
Tuesday 10 March 2009 @ 3:04 am

How often do you leap out of bed excited about what the day will bring?

Do you know exactly what you’ll be doing next week - because it’s exactly the same as what you did this week?

Could you be suffering from SIAR Syndrome?

It’s the hidden syndrome that can leave you tired, listless and frustrated. It strikes down both the young and the old, the rich and the poor. Talked about in hushed tones with trusted confidantes, it’s the affliction that leaves victims asking, “Why me?”

But for sufferers, there is light at the end of the tunnel because SIAR Syndrome can be avoided and its effects eliminated.

If the following sounds familiar, you too could be a sufferer without even realising it:

When your friends ask you what you’re up to, do you reply with something along the lines of “Oh, you know, same old, same old”?

If doing the same thing over and over again is making you happy, great! But if it’s not, maybe now’s the time to do something about it, because the chances are you’ve caught it - SIAR, or Stuck-In-A-Rut Syndrome.

Breaking out of a rut can be tricky. It can mean changing habits, making uncomfortable decisions and committing to doing things differently. But it can also be liberating, invigorating and you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner!

Whether you’re stuck in a rut at work or in your personal life, it’s worth bearing in mind this quote from well-known author and speaker on personal development, Anthony Robbins:

“If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.”

How many times do we do the same things over and over again and expect to get different results? In business, we might, for example, keep doing the same Marketing we’ve always done, yet expect the results to be better than they were last time.

In our personal lives, we might walk into the same set of circumstances we’ve had before, yet expect things to be better this time.

But there is something even worse than being a sufferer of SIAR Syndrome…being a carrier. You know the people I’m talking about, don’t you? “That’ll never work” and “play it safe” are some of their favourite sayings. Stuck in a rut themselves, they can’t bear the thought that someone else might break free of it.

But with so many people stuck in a rut, surely it should have some good points, shouldn’t it?

Let’s have a look at the Pro’s and Con’s of being stuck in a rut:

Pros:

  • It’s comfortable
  • It doesn’t take much effort
  • You know what to expect
  • It’s easy to surround yourself with like-minded people
  • There’s less chance of making a mistake

Cons:

  • It makes life boring and predictable
  • You feel that life is passing you by
  • It can leave you wondering where your life has gone
  • You could look back and wonder about the what-if’s
  • It can be scary even thinking about breaking out

It’s worth taking some time out to think about some idea of your goals both personally and professionally. Perhaps you’ve already got some plans in place setting out what you’ll get done this year, next year and possibly for the next 5, 10 or 20 years.

Do any of them involve changing something? Do ALL of them involve changing something? Does it make you excited or nervous?

A way to tackle nerves is to break the change down into its component parts to discover exactly what it is that’s making you nervous. Sometimes nerves can kick in when you’re doing something that you’ve never done before and that can lead to procrastination, one of the symptoms of SIAR syndrome.

Once you know exactly what’s making you nervous, dig deeper and ask yourself “what is it about xxxx that’s making me nervous?” Then you’ll be able to think about ways of overcoming it.

Interestingly enough, the same symptoms of nerves - shortness of breath, racing heart beat and thinking fast - are the exact same symptoms of excitement. It’s all down to how you frame them in your mind.

Next time you think you’re nervous, tell yourself it’s excitement and you’ll make the experience a whole lot more enjoyable! You might even crack a smile!

Breaking out of a rut is a lot easier when you’ve got someone guiding you through it. Working with a life coach or business coach is a little like working with a personal trainer - your coach will motivate and push you to do more than you’d do alone. Plus, because they’re outside of your normal circle of friends and contacts they can offer a fresh perspective on things. Break free!!
