Making the Time to Volunteer
Wednesday 13 January 2010 @ 4:58 am

The togetherness that develops among volunteers can unite their community, and as you’d expect it will aid those incapable of supporting themselves. The obvious problem is that organizing your schedule so that you’re free to volunteer often actually wastes time that could readily be put to much better use. Keep in mind that volunteering can be more fun with your co-workers pitching in right along with you!

This is a call for companies to take a cue from far-sighted firms like Adaptive Marketing LLC. In addition to financial and shopping benefits programs including Shopping Essentials Plus (MVQ*SHOPESSPLUS) made for the benefit of consumers, Adaptive Marketing organizes local volunteer activity so that its employees have the time to give back to the community.

If you think of company sponsored charitable effort, you probably think of blood drives, perhaps a Christmas call for donations, but that’s simply no longer true. The staff of Adaptive Marketing are frequently given the chance to take part in community initiatives. For events like these, the locations, dates and times that had been arranged were announced, making it convenient for employees to know what to expect, and how much time it might take exactly.

Making sure volunteers have a say in which drives the company supports is also important. Employees of Adaptive Marketing, the firm who offers the shopping program Shopping Essentials Plus (MVQ*SHOPESSPLUS), choose from among a great many local volunteer activities. You’ll find so much to be done, after all; taking part in the education and entertainment of children, assisting with environmental programs, or supporting local artists among others. Adaptive Marketing’s staff members have so much to choose from that they’re certain to find a project they’ll enjoy taking part in, making their time enjoyable as well as useful.

If companies ask their staff members to think about volunteering at local schools, it is frequently during a specific event or a regularly scheduled job. Regardless of how short the time you can spare, we’d expect you can still find some activity to suit, which makes time no obstacle to charitable work.

It’s hardly a new practice for businesses to help out the community which they serve. Adaptive Marketing like many other businesses supports volunteer programs to support the people of its hometown and to generate positive feeling within its home community by the actions of its staffers. The fact is, one of the benefits of helping others is feeling better about yourself — an upbeat feeling that leaves not just the volunteer but the whole company more upbeat.

Bush Appointed Mehlman as RNC Chair
Friday 14 August 2009 @ 10:50 am

In November 2004, President Bush chose Ken Mehlman, administrator of his successful re-election campaign, to serve as the Republican National Committee chairman.

Mehlman, who is notable for his allegiance to Bush, centered his focus on the strengthening of the widely held party status of the GOP (known as the Grand Old Party or Republican Party) through reaching out to Jewish voters, minorities, as well as the women. Mehlman, who was a favorite of the president’s chief political consultant Karl Rove, also operated as a chief operating officer who interpreted Rove’s strategic concepts into real practice.

In an interview, Ken Mehlman said that the Republican Party had a momentous opportunity as a result of the 2004 Presidential election, especially with the strong urge of strengthening the party’s administrative and congressional program.

Bush’s White House spokesman Scott McClellan said that Mehlman was given the role of chairman since he “was instrumental in overseeing our 2004 historic election night gains.” Moreover, he had a comprehensible vision for building long lasting advantages, said McClellan.

Ken Mehlman, a native of Baltimore County, Maryland, has been a supporter of Republican politics since 1980, the time when he went door-to-door as a loyalist of former Republican president Ronald Reagan.

Principles of Malignant Mesothelioma
Monday 27 April 2009 @ 9:25 pm

Malignant mesothelioma is a infrequent cancer of the tissues that line people’s inside organs. Around two thousand new cases are recognized every year in the whole US. Of these, aboutthree fourths of cases involve the sac around the lungs, referred to as the pleura. This is known as pleural mesothelioma. In about ten to twenty percent of occurrences, mesothelioma cancer might involve the tissue that encloses abdominal organs, referred to as the peritoneal membrane, causing what is then acknowledged as peritoneal mesothelioma.

Being introduced to asbestos is positively the overwhelming risk factor for this uncommon sickness. Following exposure to asbestos, the time period to development of the mesothelioma disease could be 2 to 4 decades. Due to occupational introduction, malignant mesothelioma is nearly three times more common in males, than in females. Because the number of occurrences goes up with your age, there are around ten times more cases in the men more than age 64 than in the males in their midlife.

Getting Malignant mesothelioma is a severe sickness, which, at the current moment, has a decidedly bad percentage of overall continuance. Nonetheless, if it is diagnosed early, care are then at hand that might significantly prolong the patient’s life. Advanced approaches continue to be and are being developed through clinical trials.

Green Building Alliance Awards $140,000 in Grants
Tuesday 29 July 2008 @ 7:44 pm

Pennsylvania’s Green Building Alliance (GBA) recently announced the disbursement of grants amounting to $140,000 to recipients who were chosen based on a competitive criterion upon which they scrutinized a company, institution, or group’s capability in carrying out a sustainable green project. This program is part of GBA’s Green Building Product Initiative, which seeks to promote innovative and well-developed green buildings.

An estimated total of $558,000 Product Innovation Grants have been given away since December 2007.

In its 15 years of existence, GBA has successfully created various opportunities for Pennsylvania home, office, and business owners to move into the safer and healthier realms of environmentally-friendly living. These innovation grants serve as bridges between communities and organizations aiming for an improvement in both economic and environmental living conditions. It is an example that the government can definitely pick up and use as an inspiration for coming up with several sustainable green market programs, projects, and grants.

It also works in pretty much the same way that school contests are carried out; the most worthy or deserving groups or companies and institutions are awarded, while the others are given the chance to present innovative ideas. It serves as an impetus for groups to continuously produce better green products.

As the Green Building Alliance continues to churn out one program after another, it opens more avenues of positive change for communities that fully embrace economic prosperity and human well-being through green building practices.

At CEMEX, air quality is a priority with the cement company’s fusion of environment friendly programs and pro-safety policies

Smart Brief published an article about the Third Annual CEMEX U.S. Building Awards, which also highlights CEMEX air quality initiatives.

David Ben-Ariel didn’t try to blow up the mosques!
Sunday 18 May 2008 @ 9:01 pm

Plot to blow up
Al-Aksa?

If the Israeli authorities truly suspected me of being involved
in such a dangerous activity to blow up Al-Aksa, they would have
NEVER RELEASED ME with only my passport in their hands. As for
the others allegedly involved in some plot, that were
“still at large” - THEY’RE STILL AT LARGE to this day,
nine years later, because they don’t exist! And, just like nine
years ago I protested my innocence, I continue to this day doing
the same, consistent, honest and true, as God knows, and as they
very well know and our former Consul General Edward
Abington Jr. knew and ignored to his shame.

The Israeli Secret Police had a computer disk with Beyond Babylon on it back then, and now Beyond Babylon is professionally
published, and it says now, as then, that it is the GOVERNMENT
of Israel’s responsibility to remove the mosques and prepare for
the Third Temple.

Gershon Salomon, chairman of the Temple Mount
Faithful, has been stating that fact publicly since he
helped to liberate the Temple Mount in 1967 during the Six Day
War. What we say is LEGAL and BIBLICAL, although some would
trample our rights to express ourselves and practice our
religion, in a vain attempt to appease the Nazi-Muslim beasts.

It’s past time Israel lift the entry ban against me, and right
the wrong that resulted in my unjust
deportation.

David
Ben-Ariel
